A skyscraper. A rooftop. A standoff.
He looked at the empty sky scattered with stars, then at the small pool of blood before him and the tiny golden tree glowing faintly.
Rye fell into thought.
“Boom~”
Hearing the rooftop door crash open behind him, Rye turned toward the entrance.
Bourbon had just stepped inside, his little face dark as he stared at the bloodstains on the ground.
This was a problem. Maybe he should just tell them Scotland had turned into a butterfly and flown away.

Morofushi Hiromitsu, who was crushed to death by a girl falling from the sky and then miraculously revived along with her, felt exhausted and disillusioned every day.
“Wait!! Don't kill anyone!”
“Don't go picking other people's door locks just because you feel like it!!”
“No, you can't pick the safe's lock either!!!”
“No, no, you can't just take things off other people, and you especially can't threaten them into giving you stuff!”
Morofushi Hiromitsu, who felt like he'd become a father in his prime, decided that if he couldn't beat her, he might as well join her.
“You're right. I'm your 'witch.' Now let go of that plant in the median, you can't eat it!”

The protagonist's System is mainly a mashup of references to various games. I'll explain the relevant parts in the author's notes.
(The witch is modeled after the witches in Elden Ring, the Fire Keepers in Dark Souls, and Fox's Assistant, the one who cuts up men. The sort of assistants who help players.)
Theme: Head toward the light and keep living.
