Who Spoiled My Dog?

Because of work, Xia Yunmeng had to look for a new place to live.

Her next-door neighbor always seemed busy and was hardly ever home, which left his poor corgi to suffer.

Whenever the little guy whined, Xia Yunmeng's heart melted. She even bought it dog food and meat treats, and the two of them would secretly meet on the balcony.

Jiang Siyuan couldn't figure out why his dog kept getting fatter the more he tried to help it lose weight. Resigned, he had to walk it after his night shifts every day.

Then one day, on his day off, he took the dog out for an evening walk and heard someone call out from a distance, "Sweetie!"

Jiang Siyuan was wondering who they could be calling, since no one was nearby, when his dog shot off like a cannonball. Caught off guard, he nearly got dragged over. No matter how hard he pulled, he couldn't hold it back, and the dog leaped straight onto the other person.

He knew exactly how much his corgi weighed, so he hurried to apologize.

"I'm sorry..."

"You're the one who..."

They both looked up at the same time, nearly dropping their jaws in shock.

"How is it you?"

The dog in question had this to say: I have done so much for this family!

After reuniting with Jiang Siyuan, Xia Yunmeng felt that he had become even more nagging than before. He wanted to manage every little thing.

He fussed over her meals and her sleep. It was simply unbearable.

At a class reunion, Xia Yunmeng couldn't help complaining to her best friend, never expecting the person in question to overhear every word.

Jiang Siyuan folded his arms and smiled. "Don't worry. I'll be looking after you for the rest of your life."

A bickering-couple story about rekindling an old romance.
