Two female leads: a glamorous socialite and a gentle, refined doctor. They meet at university, one pursues a man, and the other reunites with him eight years after they part. A sensitive, slow-to-warm rich heiress and a gentle, considerate prodigy: one is a marriage-first, love-later romance. Both couples get happy endings.
Reader's Guide:
1. The two heroines are best friends, each with her own destined partner. There are no messy love entanglements.
2. Although one heroine pursues a man and the other falls in love after marriage, both are beautiful women with plenty of money and love in their lives. They are both very assertive in relationships, and neither becomes pathetic for love.
3. I love both couples, and I hope you will too.

No one has it worse than Qiao Xiyue, the boss's relative.
The pampered eldest princess of the Qiao family, she hides her identity and works at her own company. Not long after starting, her supervisor gets handsy with her, and she slashes him into the hospital with an eyebrow razor.
A nurse admires her fiery temper and offers to disinfect the wound on her hand. Qiao Xiyue stares at the doctor's profile on the scrolling screen in the hallway.
The man in the photo looks elegant and bright. Compared to their student days, he has grown much more composed and reserved.
Qiao Xiyue points at the photo and asks the nurse, "Hey, that doctor of yours is pretty handsome. Is he married?"
The nurse looks up and gestures for her to look to the right.
A group of young doctors follows the department head out of the ward. They lock eyes from across the hall. Qin Yuanyang is the first to look away, as if they had never known each other.
A month later, she is burning up and barely conscious. She means to ask her second brother to bring her some medicine.
The sick are at their most vulnerable. Furious that she has become the most unfortunate boss's relative in history, she takes her anger out on her second brother, then says in a sulky voice, "Second Brother, I have a fever."
A long silence follows. When the person on the other end still hasn't said a word, she grows impatient and is about to blow up, when a quiet sigh comes through the receiver. The helplessness in it feels all too familiar.
Then a warm, gentle voice speaks.
"Besides the fever, where else do you feel unwell?"
After a long silence, she answers:
"I'm pining for someone I can't have, and my heart won't stop aching. Can you cure me, Doctor Qin?"
Eight years ago or eight years later, her confession to him is always frank and loud.

After parting ways with the person she had loved for ten years, Ye Yi'an once thought she would never fall for anyone else, until she met Nie Qian.
What she remembers as their first meeting was actually the third time Nie Qian saw her.
The first time he saw her, she wore a pink cardigan and played the guzheng alone in the music room. Hearing its notes, he stopped and looked over. Her silhouette against the sunset was like a delicate pink butterfly.
The second time he saw her, they were stranded beneath the teaching building by a sudden downpour. She grabbed her friend's hand and plunged into the rain. Water splashed around her feet like jasmine blooming in the rain.
The third time he saw her, she reached out from behind and caught his hand. He turned and met her eyes, watching the light in them slowly fade. She let go and said, looking lost, "I'm sorry, I mistook you for someone else."
It was this mistaken identity that truly set their fate in motion.
When they married, each still held someone in their heart whom they could never be with again. They both knew it, and silently agreed not to talk about it, each believing they would never love anyone else.
She breaks with her family, leaves a divorce agreement behind, and goes away alone. Yet he always finds a way to meet her again.
Waking up in the same bed once more, he leans down to kiss her earlobe and whispers, "An'an, I have a secret to tell you."
That's it. I got tired of revising the blurb. For the blurbs of my other two modern romance novels, use this version wherever there are discrepancies. I have 60,000 words drafted so far, and my goal is to finish the whole novel before posting. It starts on March 1. If you happen to pass by, please add it to your favorites. Thank you, everyone.
Author's Note: True love lasts forever.
Good luck with the writing and spreading the flowers ~
