“Golden Branch” Blurb:
The emperor’s cherished Princess Jingyang leaves the palace to travel and falls in love at first sight with a handsome young man selling goods at a street stall. She does everything she can to coax him into coming back with her as her prince consort.
But it turns out the man has a story of his own, and a beloved first love by his side. He refuses to reach for a high branch like Princess Jingyang, and is single-mindedly devoted to his first love.
You can’t make a melon sweet by forcing it, but Jingyang wants her prince consort to come with her of his own accord.
Nothing can defeat a heaven-blessed young woman like her. After scheming every which way, Jingyang succeeds in bringing him back to the princess’s residence. But as the secrets surrounding the prince consort begin to emerge, Jingyang realizes that those who scheme against others will always be schemed against in turn.
One-line blurb: The emperor’s cherished Princess Jingyang forcefully pursues her intended prince consort, through a long and trying journey. Happy ending.
[My next novel, “There’s a Little Sweetheart in Manbeng Village,” is coming soon. Please add it to your collection.]
A sweet young lady from a family of unorthodox martial artists x a sharp-tongued bodyguard who isn’t interested in beauty. A game of push and pull between men and women.

The first time Mu Yao saw Han Lie, she thought he was handsome and rebellious, and wanted to keep him as a canary, train him, and make him obey her completely.
But this bird wouldn’t behave.
Better to die than endure humiliation? Han Lie probably had never heard that saying. He could bend when he had to and make use of every advantage, so she never got the upper hand.
He often smiled at her, with a smile that could take one’s breath away.
But Mu Yao could sense the rebellion and loathing hidden beneath that smiling mask.
The more rebellious he was,
the more she wanted to see him act obediently.
Mu Yao began to consider using special means to control him.
She tucked a bright red Heartbreak Blossom behind her ear and asked him if it looked good.
He didn’t look at her, only at the poisonous flower that had ruined countless lives.
He looked at her with a half-smile.
“You wouldn’t dare!”

Everyone in Manbeng Village knew that the chief’s niece was more doted on than his own daughter.
The first time they met, Mu Yao told him plainly:
She wanted to sleep with him.
Han Lie couldn’t openly offend her or show his displeasure. All he could do was cater to her, however unwillingly.
Mu Yao loved to smile, her smile as sweet as malt candy.
But she was also much like the Heartbreak Blossom: beautiful on the outside, poisonous through and through.
The chief doted on her more than his own daughter, and all the men in the village wanted to become her devoted servants.
Except him.
He hated that sweet little menace more than anyone.

Han Lie: “There’s an old saying in my hometown: You can’t make a melon sweet by forcing it. Why insist on this, Miss Cousin?”
Mu Yao wore a pure, harmless smile and answered earnestly:
“I never force men. One day, you’ll climb into my bed of your own free will.”

Reading Guide:
1. Little Sweet Menace is short for Sweet Little Menace.
2. The female lead is no saint. She kills someone from the start. She appears to treat human lives like grass, but it’s an act. She only kills those who deserve it.
3. There are no lapdogs in this story, only push and pull between men and women, each with their own motives. No one is harmless.
4. The setting is the Three-Nots territory, a lawless place where anything goes. It’s an alternate world, so please don’t nitpick the details.
I’m working on the manuscript. Please preorder it for now. It’ll start in a month.
Theme: When love comes, it runs deep and never turns back
The princess is never the first choice for anyone under any circumstances, how miserable. I won't go into detail about this coming from the heart, after all, she was the one who forced it in the beginning. But despite being ignored in a life-and-death situation, he still said goodbye to her, and even scolded her after the explanation this time. Such a consort made me really feel that he was not worthy of the princess' love.
The male protagonist really has Bai Yueguang
Wow, I'm so annoyed by the male protagonist's Bai Yueguang. Seeing the heroine's brother and sister getting upset
Poor? It should be a small talk!
I have written "humble" several times, should I write "humble" instead?
The hero's life experience is a bit mysterious
Even the maid knew that the two were quarreling, but would the secret guard who was following them know?
Well written, but not popular TAT
Is there a section missing in the middle? I turned over and over to see if the prince-in-law only said "Where did he go?"
