How to Escape an Obsessive Boyfriend

Kurita Kiyoe is a coward. She’s afraid of gloomy skies, crowded places, and figures that suddenly pass by her... Because she’s a coward, her classmates are always calling her aloof and weird. And because she’s a coward, when she realizes that her suitor is upright and gentle, and strong enough to protect her, Kiyoe accepts his advances without hesitation. He doesn’t disappoint her. He’s always there like a guardian deity, driving away every possible danger. Kiyoe thinks they’ll be able to live like this forever, until his gentle smile turns gloomy and his growing obsession sends shivers down her spine. After asking him again and again and getting nowhere, Kiyoe tentatively chooses to run away. The sun is shining brightly on the day they break up. Her ex-boyfriend, who should be out on a mission, corners her against a wall, his whole presence icy. When she stammers out an explanation that they’re incompatible, he gives a grim little smile. “Honestly, that’s such a tired excuse.” *A short story written as a way to get back into writing. *My take on Geto. Out-of-character warning. *The heroine is an ordinary person and genuinely a coward! *Pure love, happy ending. _ Theme: Treasure your life and stay away from danger.
