You Lin hated Yi Ruchen. He looked like a wild wolf who might bite.
Behind his back, she made Yi Ruchen bark like a little dog in the academy courtyard. She lifted her delicate, pretty face and deliberately stepped on his new shoes, scuffing them black.
You Lin thought a wolf living under someone else's roof would eventually be trained into a tame dog.
Later, they parted ways and met again.

At the banquet, as guests mingled over drinks, he walked through the crowd and saw You Lin casually leaning against the windowsill, downing the drink a friend handed her.
Her face tilted up slightly, a few red marks scattered across her snow-white neck.
She was half drunk. Yi Ruchen reached out to support her, only to receive a solid slap.
Dozens of pairs of eyes in the banquet hall instantly turned toward them.
Yi Ruchen curled his lips into a smile and pulled her into his arms. He murmured in her ear, "Miss You, you're drunk. You're not in your own bed right now."
