All of Yokohama Is Uncovering Her Secret Identity

On the surface, Shatang Limao is a sunny, heartwarming writer of children's literature. In secret, under a secret identity, she writes dark, depressing, low-calorie danmei fanbooks to upset people.

She has a golden finger, though she only learned years later that it was an ability: [Countdown to Death]. When activated, it randomly lets her possess the body of someone who is about to die at some point in the past.

Using this brief third-person perspective, she treats the people and events she encounters as reference material for her fanbooks.

On a work-funded trip, she happens to encounter one of her real-life inspirations reading her fanbook on the train to Yokohama. After striking up a conversation, she enthusiastically discusses the plot with her. As they part, he smiles and says he wants to dissect the author's brain to see what she's thinking.

After arriving, she finds a bar to have a drink and calm her nerves, only to run into another real-life inspiration from her fanbook, a bandaged young man discussing how to torture her once they catch her...

She confides in her Russian friend online, who recommends a detective agency that offers bodyguard services. Lost in the city, she wants to ask a passerby for directions, then realizes he's holding a fanbook based on him, grinding his teeth as he vows to find her and crush her with gravity. He's even put a ten-billion bounty on her in the black market.

Her legs trembling, she makes it to the detective agency, only to discover in horror that the agency's president is also one of her fanbook's inspirations!

Limao is completely numb.

Good grief, why are there familiar faces everywhere?!

She's even threatened by a boy who calls himself a great detective and is wearing a secret identity, demanding that she update. Help, she's really about to enter her countdown to death. As soon as she gets back to the hotel, she starts writing a will to her childhood friend back in the countryside of Yatsuhara.
