I'm Really Just an Auxiliary System

As more and more roles across the planes went missing, there weren't enough Hosts, so the Main God had no choice but to activate a large number of Systems to play some less important characters.

8796 was a rookie System whose job was to serve as the protagonist's assistant and help move the plot along. He diligently played his part, but the protagonist never followed the script.

Small World:

Every CEO has a capable secretary by his side, someone who takes care of everything from food, clothing, and travel to work and daily life, devoted to solving all sorts of problems for the boss.

8796 was just such an all-around secretary. When the heroine appeared, all it took was a glance from the CEO, and within five minutes he could get every bit of information about her for him!

He hired the heroine into the CEO's office and personally trained her, keeping her by his side at all times, all to create opportunities for her and the CEO. Then one time, just as he was about to take her on a business trip again, the CEO called him into his office and said irritably, "Office romances are forbidden here."

Small World:

Every domineering hero has a loyal underling. As the hero's underling, 8796 must not only be a good lackey, but also guard the hero's harem with his life.

The protagonist's girls? He rescues them! The protagonist's girls? He protects them! The protagonist's girls? He keeps them safe!

To a domineering hero, brothers are like hands and feet, while women are like clothes. You can lose a hand or foot, but you can't go without clothes. Just as 8796 once again rushed ahead to take a knife for the protagonist's harem, the hero grabbed him and said coldly, with a hint of jealousy, "I never knew you were such a romantic."

Small World:

As a qualified commander of the imperial bodyguards, 8796 is the crown prince's blade, clearing every obstacle in his path until the prince ascends the throne.

Now all that remains is for the new emperor to choose his harem and appoint an empress. Then 8796 can retire, having accomplished his mission.

8796 placed a thick stack of candidate concubines' profiles before the new emperor and said earnestly that he had thoroughly investigated all their backgrounds. They were all from influential families and were accomplished and wise, sure to become worthy helpmates to His Majesty.

But the emperor did not even look at the profiles. He stared straight at him and said, "If you want the position of empress, I grant it to you. Why go to all this trouble?"

8796: ? I truly don't understand how you humans think.
