[I'm super busy and under a lot of pressure this semester. Infinite-flow stories take a lot of brainpower, so I'm putting this one on hold for now.]
Lu Ning considered herself a diligent, conscientious worker, until her boss sneered at and insulted her outside of work hours.
Who could put up with that?
"High-paying job, choose your own vacation days, Nightmare Factory hiring now!" She stared at the tattered ad by her feet, which looked like an obvious scam, and fell into deep thought.
That very evening, she promptly submitted her resignation, then walked straight into the strange little factory and became a nightmare guide.
One bizarre nightmare after another awaited her: the Alired Rehabilitation Center, a terrifying amusement park, a dark aquarium, a fairy-tale candy factory...
Just as a steel needle as thick as a chopstick was about to bore into her eyeball, Lu Ning, who had been lying peacefully on the operating table, suddenly raised a hand. "Wait! I haven't watered the flowers today."
The lights in the dark amusement park flickered on and off, and sparks crackled.
Lu Ning, in a filthy work uniform, clenched her fists. "Hey! How many times a day does this lousy amusement park's electrical system need fixing?!"
A shark burst through the glass and opened its cavernous jaws at her.
Lu Ning had just taken off her diving suit. With a long sigh, she patted the shark's head. "Hungry again, sweetheart? Didn't I just feed you?"
Faced with every absurd and eerie dream, Lu Ning had this to say: Everything goes according to my plan.
After working nonstop in nightmares for several days and nights, Lu Ning not only had no desire to rest, but was getting more excited by the minute, until a man grabbed her hand.
His hand was cold, his skin unnaturally pale, and his voice low and hoarse.
"Having fun?"
Lu Ning stared blankly for a moment before she recognized his face. Damn, wasn't he the NPC doctor who tried to drill out her eyeball in the first dream?
* Horror infinite flow
* If the protagonist seems a little dumb, it's because the author isn't very smart. I hope she gets smarter in the upcoming scenarios. :D
*Sharing a blurb for The Female Lead Gets Run Through the Heart by a Sword
At the Demon-Slaying Ceremony, the aloof Swordmaster stood on the execution platform, her robes fluttering in the wind as she looked down impassively at the girl bound by soul-binding ropes. She asked coldly, "Shen Wenling, do you know what you did wrong?"
The frail girl smiled brightly, showing no sign of remorse.
The next second, the Embracing Moon Sword pierced her heart.
The Swordmaster, who had been cold and detached, changed expression in an instant and tried desperately to save her, as if possessed. But the girl's soul had already been destroyed.
While everyone was grieving over the scene, I laughed.
"What a lunatic."
Oh, you want to know who I am?
I'm a nobody, a passerby.
That's right. Just seconds ago, I realized I was a demon passerby who got a single line in a melodramatic novel.
This novel is several million words long, and every one of them is about the earth-shattering love and hate between the male and female leads. The female lead falls in love, falls out of love, then falls in love again, and in the end even uses her own death to punish the male lead and make him regret it for the rest of his life. Terrifying!
After thinking it over, I decided I couldn't be part of the male and female leads' little drama, so I went to the human world for a change of scenery.
Amid all the distractions, it took only a few days for me to charm a stuffy scholar on his way to the capital to take the imperial exam. He put on a stern face and told me, "Miss, please behave with dignity," but I knew he was only pretending to resist.
At the Qiqiao Festival, before the scholar could confess his love, my childhood friend from the demon race came to the mortal realm to drag me back. He said the demon realm was in turmoil, so I had no choice but to leave my little romance behind and return with him.
On the way, I had another fit of kindness and picked up an injured fox spirit. I thought he was a poor little thing, but who could have guessed he was the heir to the Demon King?
As a result, the Divine One decided that the demons and monsters were joining forces and came to the demon realm himself to uphold righteousness. He pestered me hundreds of times, and I finally couldn't take it anymore. I pierced his sacred heart with my sword...
And ascended to immortality.
