Qing Dynasty: The Years I Tried to Assassinate the Crown Prince

One day, university student Zhang Qingdong transmigrates and becomes a young palace maid during the Kangxi era.

She thinks she's in for a cozy farming-life story, until one day she receives a note: Everything is ready. Prepare to assassinate him.

Zhang Qingdong: Huh???

To save her life, she has no choice but to agree. That night, when she meets the young eunuch who is her contact, Zhang Qingdong hurries forward, eager to get this over with. "The stuff to assassinate that bastard Crown Prince is ready. Now it's up to you!"

The "young eunuch," Yinreng, pauses, revealing the four-clawed python robe beneath his cloak. Somewhat uncertainly, he asks, "Who did you say we're assassinating?"

Zhang Qingdong: "..."

By a twist of fate, Zhang Qingdong is brought into the Crown Prince's residence and becomes one of his bedchamber attendants. The organization is delighted, urging her to seize the opportunity and make Yinreng happy.

With no choice, Zhang Qingdong goes to great lengths to entertain the heir to the throne with food, drink, and fun.

What? The Crown Prince is hungry? Fried chicken and beer, we've got it all.

What? The Crown Prince is tired? Steam engines and cement, take your pick.

What? His father and brothers are driving the Crown Prince crazy?

Zhang Qingdong eagerly offers him some ideas: How about trying bungee jumping or wingsuit flying? It'll definitely relieve some stress!

Gazing at the bottomless abyss below him, Yinreng silently turns around, keeping his composure.

Sure enough, when there's a crazy person around, you feel a lot more sane.

More than ten years pass like this, until Kangxi dies and Yinreng ascends the throne.

One night, Zhang Qingdong wakes with a start and finally realizes: Why hasn't the organization called everything off yet? At this rate, I'm going to become the Qing empress!!!

The man beside her opens his eyes and, helplessly pulling her into his arms, coaxes her: "It's the middle of the night. Go back to sleep."

[Reading Guide]

1. The male lead was not a virgin before he met the female lead!!

2. A lighthearted, silly story full of eating and drinking. Lots of fictional details, so don't nitpick.

3. Set in a semi-fictional parallel Qing dynasty, with lots of unofficial history mixed in for the plot.
