Li Huanhuan is 26 years old and a nobody in a book. At a blind date, she meets the main character.

Qin Shi is the protagonist of the book, an esports prodigy and hugely popular player. He's broad-shouldered, long-legged, and handsome, with eight-pack abs, and two years younger than her.

At their first meeting, Qin Shi's friend mistakes her for an "auntie."

Li Huanhuan assumes the protagonist isn't interested in her either.

The next day, Qin Shi calls her: "I heard you told your mom I have high standards and wasn't interested in you?"

Li Huanhuan: "..."

Isn't that true?

Still, she sincerely apologizes.

Qin Shi: "I hate being slandered."

Li Huanhuan: "?"

Qin Shi: "Come out. I'll treat you to dinner. We'll take a photo and send it to them. I won't let anyone tarnish my reputation."

Their second meeting goes just as badly.

Li Huanhuan is childhood friends with Fox, Qin Shi's sworn enemy and the villain of the book. Qin Shi sees a photo of the two of them together, and his attitude turns icy.

When Li Huanhuan sees that he won't talk to her, she assumes the blind date is over and continues meeting other prospects.

She meets a new blind date at a restaurant, where she runs into Qin Shi again.

After several days apart, Qin Shi is acting even stranger.

Li Huanhuan greets him, but he coldly walks away. Two minutes later, he comes back, barely containing his emotions, and makes her choose: either pick him, or he'll tell Fox that she's been going on blind dates behind his back.

Li Huanhuan thinks Qin Shi is crazy.

Qin Shi glares at her with red-rimmed eyes, and they part on bad terms, at least as far as he's concerned.

Li Huanhuan's life finally settles down. She stays home, plays with her cat, and goes back to being a nobody. But Qin Shi moves in next door with his dog.

Qin Shi suffers an accidental fracture and can't manage on his own, so Li Huanhuan agrees to look after him temporarily at the request of their elders.

Lately, Li Huanhuan has noticed that Qin Shi looks at her in an increasingly suspicious way.

One day, Qin Shi corners her in the bathroom: "Stop going on blind dates. Are my abs not defined enough for you?"

Li Huanhuan is stunned: "Are you having a breakdown?"

Qin Shi: "I like you."

How could the protagonist fall for a nobody?

Li Huanhuan doesn't believe him. She waits for the day Qin Shi regrets it, but turns down the blind dates her family arranges for her anyway.

Instead of the plot being corrected and Qin Shi changing his mind, both their families meet up and sit down to discuss Li Huanhuan and Qin Shi's wedding.

Li Huanhuan is a video blogger.

One day, she livestreams her cat at home. A fierce-looking husky suddenly barges into the frame and hogs the screen.

Viewer: "That husky looks just like Qin Shi's dog~"

The next second, a man in a bathrobe, with eight-pack abs, walks out of the room behind Li Huanhuan, toweling his hair dry.

Viewer: "This guy looks even more like Qin Shi?!"

Viewer: "That's Qin Shi!!!"
