■: Please add this to your favorites! Please, please, please! I plan to write a traditional Cthulhu Mythos story with some horror. Overall, you could call it a power fantasy? A growth story, with a slow build.
The blurb may change.
This is a story about an incredibly capable protagonist exploring the world of Cthulhu.
Yudel: #Runs into cultists, tries to convert them...
Would you be interested in learning about my great master, the One in All and All in One, the Ruler of Time and Space, the Key to the Gate... Yog-Sothoth?
Cultists: ???
Cultists: Get lost!
Yudel: Fine. If that's how you're going to act, I'll just have to give you a couple of stabs. #Pulls a knife from behind his back
Or would you rather hand over a mythical artifact or an esoteric tome as ransom? #smiles

He once heard the pleas of countless people
Someone said with hatred, "I yearn for eternal life."
Someone spoke in a low voice, "She poured power into our souls."
Someone hummed softly, "He will die, then be reborn."
Someone sobbed, "The people I loved slumber forever in that beautiful city of Thebes."
Someone stood with a knife in hand: "The cultists have betrayed us."
Someone's heart burned: "The Immortal is watching you."
Someone said, "When the incantation is spoken, you will meet it."
And when it appeared, it asked you
Bubble: What do you want?
Yudel: I am your follower. I hope to move through the world in your name and spread knowledge.
Bubble: #Pours knowledge into his brain
Yudel: The knowledge entered my brain in a very strange way. O.0
In homage to Lovecraft and the many writers who created the Cthulhu Mythos.
Please note:
◆ Slow build, no CP, mild horror.
◆ Set in a fictionalized history inspired by the mid-to-late Victorian era. Don't take the details too seriously.
◆ This is set in the Cthulhu Mythos, and there are many cults, including plots involving kidney harvesting and sacrifices.
◆ No content warnings, so read with care. I chose derivative fiction because the story includes eldritch gods created by others and isn't entirely my own creation.
◆ Includes original elements. The Cthulhu Mythos is already muddled because of how many derivative works there are, so I'll mainly use Lovecraft's original lore as a reference.
Theme: Knowledge is power.
