After Su Tangqu was nominated for Best Actress, trouble seemed to follow her everywhere. A suspected obsessive fan had been stalking and threatening her, so her company spent a fortune hiring a private bodyguard who would be on call around the clock.
Su Tangqu thought the company had treated her fairly well. After all, she had made them plenty of money. But when she saw Wan Shiyi, her sunglasses slid two inches down her nose. She stared in disbelief. "This is it?"
The fresh-faced young woman stepped closer. Her pretty, youthful face was right in front of Su Tangqu as she pushed the sunglasses back into place and beamed. "Don't worry, Miss Su. I'm a professional."
Su Tangqu didn't believe her and asked for someone else. The company said the money had already been spent and couldn't be refunded, and urged her to at least give Wan Shiyi a try.
So Su Tangqu told Wan Shiyi that she had very high standards for professionalism. If even one thing didn't satisfy her, she would replace her, even if it meant losing money.
Then Su Tangqu discovered that this fresh young woman, Wan Shiyi, could not only fight and talk, but, after reading her script, even patted the bed and said calmly, "Miss Su, you don't know how to act this part. I can teach you. Don't worry, I'm a professional."
Blushing, Su Tangqu stammered, "What kind of company do you work for? You train people in this, too?!"
