Don't Even Think About Stopping Me from Falling in Love

Wen Tingyue swirled the red wine in her glass and asked lazily, "You're saying that one of my descendants, ten thousand years from now, will destroy the world and wreak havoc across the Milky Way?"

The man named Bai Ye wore ridiculous pajamas, his gaze unwavering. "Yes. I've been ordered to travel through time to stop you. If necessary, I'll end your life."

"How will you stop me?"

Bai Ye thought for a moment. "In the terms of humanity in the old era, I have to stop you from falling in love."

Wen Tingyue smiled. "But falling in love doesn't necessarily mean having descendants, and you can have descendants without falling in love."

"That's complicated." Bai Ye didn't quite understand, so he chose the easy option. He pulled out a particle laser gun, aimed at Wen Tingyue's heart, and said coolly, "I should just eliminate the source."

Wen Tingyue: "..."

*

Later, after his mission failed, Bai Ye returned under a different identity. Wen Tingyue looked at the peerlessly handsome man before her, with silver hair and blue-green eyes, and couldn't help lamenting, "Where have you been all this time!"

If Bai Ye had come to see her in his original body back then, she would have chosen to be sterilized for love and lived a happy, carefree life with him.
