How I Went from Demon Lord Candidate to Holy Paladin of Light, Then Married the Hero and the Demon Lord

Ever since Lu Yu was summoned to another world as Hero No. 1551 and successfully recruited into the Light Church's Demon-Slaying Vanguard, she knew this world was complete nonsense.

She opened the System and pulled up her character sheet.

Lu Yu stared at the labels on the System panel: "Demon Lord Candidate," "Dark Magic Affinity MAX," and "Light Magic Debuff." She clicked the complaint button with pinpoint accuracy.

You can't even get the attribute alignments right. What good are you as a System?!

Lu Yu's complaint wasn't accepted, but she did receive expedited compensation from the System.

System: "Dear user, to make up for your incorrect starting location, we've enabled the social feature for you. You can exchange strategy tips with other heroes who were also sent to the wrong starting location!"

Lu Yu: ...Hah. There was another poor soul as unlucky as her?

Lu Yu found herself a pretty great partner in this other world, and the two quickly grew close. They agreed on a time and place to meet in person.

Time: Day 6666 of the Otherworld Calendar.

Weather: Thunder and lightning, with a downpour on the way.

Location: The Demon Realm battlefield.

The current Light Church's number-one enforcer, an elite member of the Demon-Slaying Suicide Squad, Light Paladin Lu Yu looked at the silver-haired, green-eyed figure before her, pale and brooding, overflowing with demonic aura, and a villainous Demon Lord's buddy through and through. She hesitated, then asked, "Are you saying that you wanted to fulfill your duties as a hero so badly that you killed the Demon Lord and took his place?!"

The former hero, now Great Demon Lord, smiled and nodded.

Lu Yu: ...So, are we still fighting?

Her best buddy: No. Let's go get married. OVO

Lu Yu: ...Huh?
