A Harry Potter AU, a World War II concentration camp AU set in the Marauders' generation, mainly focused on the Marauders. Sirius/Remus, with no fixed top or bottom. Lucius/Narcissa mentioned.
I want to ask you all: do you know what a concentration camp is like?
Yes, I think I know your answer.
You wouldn't have come to understand what a concentration camp means only from the passages I've just told you, would you? After all, even now, those of you living in this day and age have probably seen the word in history books, written by historians in pale, objective prose, its tone as lifeless as the words themselves.
Ha ha, I thought so. Then tell me, what kind of place is it?
"A place that makes you sad." "A place filled with corpses." "A place where tens of thousands died." "A hell overrun by evil."
No, no, no. You're all wrong, children. You're still too young, still far too naive.
Contrary to what you think, on that land, the country of the walking dead, covered for years by withered lime and congealed blood, the concentration camp is the only place where light still holds its ground.
