Check out my new novel! "The Game Begins with Raising My Plant-Human Husband"
In the twenty-sixth year of the Star Calendar, the Empire's insect race was defeated. To beg the Federation for mercy, the Empire sent its youngest female general, Gabri, to the Federation for a political marriage.
At the wedding.
The Federation's envoy brought in a golden-thread coffin and solemnly placed it in the groom's spot.
Inside lay a male insect with short white hair, upturned eyes, and thin lips. He looked as though he barely had any life left in him.
The Imperial insects watching the wedding nearly blacked out. Damn the Federation and its ancestors! We might as well all fight to the death!

Lucas was a legendary employee who had successfully retired from an infinite game. One moment, he was giving a speech at an awards ceremony; the next, he had transmigrated into a game still in its testing phase, becoming a plant-human marriage pawn.
To get his life back on track and enjoy his retirement, Lucas had no choice but to craft secret identities and gather faith from all over. The faith of his husband, Gabri, was especially valuable, practically a super faith-point generator.
The faith gathering went smoothly, and Lucas's name quietly spread to every corner of the world.
But whenever Lucas returned to his real body to rest, Gabri would stand beside him like a piece of wood, never saying a word.
While Lucas was working hard around the world under his secret identities, he discovered a force secretly trying to capture him. He decided to play along and pretend to fall into their trap.
Instead, Gabri grabbed him by the throat and pinned him against the coffin.
His cold face was full of struggle and madness. "Male Lord, you've saved so many female insects, but your eyes never fall on me. Or am I not worthy of your salvation?"
Had his secret identity been exposed?!
Lucas glanced at the huge amount of faith Gabri had provided, then looked up and kissed him on the lips.
[Story Blurb]
After Willow died, he discovered that he was a villainous aristocrat in an unfinished insect novel: a disfigured, tyrannical male insect who wore a mask all day and was shunned by every female insect.
Everything he did was meant to pave the way for the protagonist. So when Willow woke up again, he decided to stop opposing the protagonist and live as a carefree male insect.
But his reputation was infamous, and assassination attempts were an everyday occurrence.
Willow looked at the handsome assassin kneeling before him, whose every strand of hair hit all his buttons, and shamefully felt his heart stir.
So Willow was willing to make an exception for him, trying to be a gentle male lord who doted on him, treated his injuries, and even let him go free to soar through the stars again.
Unfortunately, the insect race was ruled by instinct. After leaving, Phoenix went on to join the group pursuing the protagonist.
When Phoenix was captured by someone else and brought back to Willow, the furious Willow lifted Phoenix's chin with his shoe and said haughtily, "Now I'm going to make your instincts go to hell. I'll announce to the world that you belong to me."
-
Phoenix had muddled through his whole life, hoping to use the wealth he'd accumulated on the battlefield to find a gentle male lord. But after hearing the protagonist's speeches, he wanted to try that kind of life. Only when the legendary violent and ugly male insect Willow had him beneath his feet did he learn what an unchangeable female insect's instincts were.
When that ugly male insect removed his mask, Phoenix began to think that following a male lord like him might not be so bad. Then one day, his male lord returned all his possessions and even gave him compensation, telling him to leave.
Phoenix had no idea what he'd done wrong. He only felt heartbroken, and returned to the military to continue leading his troops in misery.
Then the protagonist advanced to an S-class male insect. Every female insect was drawn to him and wanted to lay eggs with him, and Phoenix was among them.
But before Phoenix could get near the protagonist, another insect threw a sack over his head. When he opened his eyes again, his noble male lord was playing with his most vulnerable part, saying harshly, "If you stay with me, your whole life will be ruined. And you still want to lay eggs with another insect?"
Phoenix's face instantly turned red. He tried to wrench his most vulnerable part from Willow's grasp, but he was held so tightly that he couldn't move at all.
After a while, Willow held a screen in front of Phoenix.
[Breaking] The Empire's Male Insect Beauty Rankings have been updated! A stunning, irresistible male insect has appeared out of nowhere!
The insects: Let me take a look!
After opening the picture:
[What kind of beauty is this? Where are his eyes? Where is the taste? Where is he?]
[He looks so expensive. C-can all my service merits buy me a chance at a matchmaking date?]
[Waaaaah, he's still an A-class male insect. I'll throw myself at him! Hehe, I'll have something to dream about tonight.]
Willow held the blushing Phoenix in place and made him read the comments below. Biting his ear, he asked, "Just like I taught you, what should you do when you see these?"
Phoenix, tormented to the point of nearly losing his senses: "Tell, tell them that my male lord belongs only to me."
"Good boy."

Theme: Love can be seen as the elevation of instinct, a more complex and profound emotional experience involving emotional investment, commitment, and loyalty. The passion, warmth, and devotion in love all have roots in instinct.
