As a soul ferryer, Xiao Xianyu has seen countless ghosts, but this is her first time meeting someone like Xi Yuan...

A walking jinx.

His bad luck is so potent that anyone near him chokes on their water. No one in her sect wants to take on this hot potato.

Only she is unaffected.

"As expected of a koi spirit." Her master waved a hand. "Little Salted Fish, I'll leave the task of ferrying him to you."

She'd never heard of ferrying a walking jinx before. Xiao Xianyu wanted to refuse, but when she turned to look, he was floating nearby, gazing at her with beautiful, sorrowful, pitiful eyes.

...Fine.

For the sake of his good looks.

A hundred years ago, a fearsome ghost emerged from Youdu Mountain, bathing in blood as he rose to power. His terrible reputation shook the cultivation world.

As soon as the news got out, everyone assumed he was about to wreak havoc among mortals and stir up a storm of bloodshed. The righteous immortal sects hurried to stop him, while demons and monsters rushed to follow him. Everyone was searching for him.

But when they finally found his trail, they discovered

The terrifying madman had sheathed his claws and disguised himself as a sickly beauty, pale as snow. He spent his days clinging to a young woman from the mystic sect, criticizing other men: "Oh, he has such a bad temper. If it were me, I wouldn't dare raise my voice at you like that."

Everyone: "..."
