Sacrifice. That was the only information the Six Eyes gave Gojo when he saw Geto.

He must be pretty tasty, Gojo thought.

Divine Child. That was what Geto had been told countless times before meeting Gojo.

Does God like petting cats, too? Geto thought God's taste was pretty good.

The gods teach people to accept their fate, while the Divine Child teaches sacrifices to defy it.

God: Could you show me a little respect?

They say anyone who disobeys the gods will be taught a lesson by fate.

Brain: That white cat doesn't love you. He just wants your body! He thinks you look delicious! (In the voice of a wicked mother-in-law.)

The higher-ups: That black fox spirit doesn't love you. He just likes petting cats! Look at how he paws all over Lord Sukuna, who's just as fierce! (Sukuna, an incomplete thousand-year-old man currently getting beaten up by Geto: Even curses would shake their heads at what you're saying!)

The two strongest: Really? I don't believe you.

But out of respect for their elders, they'd play along.

They had a huge fight and parted ways, leaving everyone to lament how cruel fate could be (wipes away a tear.jpg).

Megumi, who goes to the Star Religious Group more easily than he goes home, and the two girls Geto adopted, whose hair Gojo personally tied up, could only say: Right, right, absolutely!

But if the sacrifice was being used to bring good fortune, what would they do about the ritual?

Just use a different sacrifice!

"Gojo, are you happy with this sacrifice?"

"Of course! Leave it to me to pick the right head of the family, Geto!"

The good news: After living as an ordinary person for over twenty years, he awakened as a high-level ability user overnight. He was released on bail and hired into a government position. No exam needed, just straight to the finish line.

The bad news: His assigned partner is the most dangerous terrorist around. If he refuses, he'll be Suspect Lin. If he goes, he'll be the late Mr. Lin.

Lin Pin nervously went to the "blind date" the organization arranged for him with a terrorist. He returned safely and told his teammates he'd been rejected.

His teammates were already popping champagne, but Lin Pin stared at the unsigned consent form and muttered, "Mom, he's so gorgeous! I want him to be my wife. I mean, my partner."

Yue Ming has been a dangerous terrorist since childhood.

His ability level was so high that he wiped out an entire ability-user organization before finishing kindergarten. After being captured, he enjoyed a life of comfort, fine food, and luxury in prison (no, wait, a miserable prison life).

But what goes around comes around. After more than twenty years of peace and quiet, the organization matched him with a partner and told him to raise a kid.

Was this kid the reincarnation of Thanos or a nuclear bomb that had gained a mind of its own? Why did he have to be the one to raise him? They could wait for the kid to die before his mission was half done!

The organization tried to reason with him: The kid is socially anxious, too. And this was ordained by the gods. If you don't go, you'll be punished by heaven!

Yue Ming had already refused outright, but his charm was too much. The genuinely socially anxious Yue Ming was relentlessly pursued by the truly socially terrifying Lin Pin.

Yue Ming: What a curse! He's the one who's the punishment from heaven!

Today, Lin Pin handed him a black card and told him to spend whatever he wanted. Tomorrow, he took him out to eat, drink, and enjoy life. Lin Pin's unlucky constitution kept dragging him into major cases that could determine the fate of the ability-user world, yet thanks to the law of conserved luck, he always came through unscathed.

Everyone marveled at Lin Pin's ridiculous luck. Fire, explosions, ability-user rebellions... He went through it all without a scratch.

Only Lin Pin knew that, despite always drawing nothing but R-rank characters, it was because a soft-hearted god followed behind him.

Yue Ming, the soft-hearted god: This is a paid service. This fool with more money than brains signed up for an annual plan. (Thought: Mainly because I can't beat this idiot, though he doesn't seem to realize his own abilities.)

Lin Pin: Mm-hmm, right, right. Is there an aftercare service for surviving a disaster? (Thought: Even a soft-hearted god can be tsundere~)

Seeing the puppy's eyes light up, Yue Ming guarded his waist: No. That's a different price.
