After the Black Organization ruined his family and left him on the brink of death, Washimi Kagehiro bound himself to a System as he teetered between life and death.
The good news: Completing missions can bring down the Black Organization, and he can also gain all sorts of abilities, including access to a forum.
The bad news: He has to bring his childhood friend Shinichi Kudo to 21st-century London, where they will work alongside Sherlock Holmes as investigators.
Washimi: I never thought things would go this far when I chose to become an expert at TRPGs.
*
How do you train an excellent investigator?
Washimi: Glad you asked. You need a little talent for acting, a little skill at scripting, and a little understanding of the world's rules...
The Keeper watched as a Beika High School detective suddenly arrived at 221B and became London's number one suspect on his very first day, then slowly added:
Washimi: And an unparalleled amount of patience.

When Shinichi Kudo opened his eyes to find himself in London with a System, and learned that all key actions depended on dice rolls, he thought he was dreaming.
When someone told him the detective helping with the case was named "Sherlock Holmes," he hoped the dream would last a little longer.
Until he confidently introduced himself as "Holmes's apprentice," and every officer stared at him as if he were a freak.
Shinichi Kudo: Wait a minute?
*
Sherlock didn't think suddenly acquiring an apprentice was at all normal.
So Sherlock decided to observe him for a while longer.
Until Sherlock discovered that this apprentice was not only skilled at shooting, soccer, violin, and driving all kinds of vehicles, but could even defuse bombs with his bare hands.
Sherlock: I admit you have what it takes to be my apprentice.
Watson: Just admit it, Sherlock.
Watson: That's only because you like hearing all those lavish compliments he gives you.
1. Sherlock, Cthulhu Mythos, and Detective Conan. My take on the Cthulhu Mythos isn't hardcore, and most TRPG rules have been simplified. I hope readers who have never played can get a feel for the fun of TRPGs (?).
2. The male lead is a native of the Detective Conan world. The main story has a weightier, Sherlock-style tone, while Detective Conan interludes are light, everyday stories. Other rescue arcs will be written as little modules, like random drops from a dungeon.
3. I started writing this because I wanted to see the original characters play TRPGs. At first, Shinichi is the only investigator, but Sherlock and Watson will soon join him to form a regular party. Later, other characters from the current arc may be pulled in to play as well.
4. HE. The lightheartedness in the main story comes from dark jokes and dry humor.
5. I drew the cover myself, so please don't say it's ugly (). The plot may change before the story starts.
