Also known as The Country of Strange Tales: Folk Customs Town [Infinite]
Jin An, a modern college student and self-proclaimed champion of laziness, died suddenly because she was too lazy to sleep.
Cause of death: She didn't want to close her eyes and stayed up too late.
She closed her eyes, then opened them to find herself dumped in a town that was eerie at every turn.
An old woman who is blind but refuses to leave, a young man whose neck and abdomen are covered in stitches, a coffin lid that keeps flying open without warning, a baby girl trapped in a paper doll, crying night after night...
As she looked at the things before her and gradually recognized them, Jin An suddenly perked up.
She seemed to have returned to her happy place.
Her homeroom teacher forbade her from looking into folk customs and strange tales at school, hoping to stop her from acting like a weirdo every day.
Jin An was too lazy to argue, so she simply went along with it.
Then, with her only interest gone, she became even lazier.
In the end, she lazed herself to death.
"You're the 98,543rd person to apply to be our town doctor." A man with his eyes gouged out sat stiffly at a wooden table, tilting his head up to stare at Jin An with empty sockets.
"You still haven't found anyone?" Jin An asked casually, not particularly keen to accept.
"Successfully treating more than 20 patients comes with a very generous reward," the man said flatly.
"Oh."
"For example, your homeroom teacher will let you keep researching folk customs and strange tales."
"." Jin An slowly straightened up. "I do."
