Blurb:
Yu Cheng transmigrated into a book.
His role is a background extra, the sort who says, "It's been so long since I've seen the young master smile so happily."
He could have been very happy, if the transmigration bureau weren't exploiting its workers. Every background extra with only a few scenes...
was him!
In an old-school story about domineering love, he's the all-capable personal assistant to a rich playboy.
Yu Cheng is quite pleased with his very, very, very high-paying job.
Except that his bad-tempered young master likes to call in the middle of the night, messages him every hour to ask what he's doing, and takes away his annual leave to bring him along on business trips to holiday destinations.
His good days last until the next time he slips off to another book to play a background extra and gets caught red-handed by the young master.
In an aristocratic Mary Sue school story, he's the childhood friend and lackey who gets sacrificed for the school heartthrob.
Yu Cheng has been quite troubled lately.
He's discovered the heartthrob's secret: he suffers from skin hunger. As the only person who knows, Yu Cheng offers himself up as the heartthrob's exclusive body pillow.
Then he discovers the guy isn't sick at all.
In a melodramatic rebirth story, he's the playboy tycoon's cannon-fodder fiancee.
Yu Cheng's mission is to act up as much as he likes, using his fiancee status, until the tycoon gets fed up and breaks off the engagement, letting him retire in glory. Wearing women's clothes is hardly going to stop him from doing his job.
The only problem is that the tycoon has been looking at him strangely lately, and keeps trying to get handsy with him.
.
The young master has always heard that his business rival has a deeply beloved fiancee who rarely leaves home. He scoffs at the idea, until he spots his little assistant, who's supposed to be on sick leave, standing beside his rival.
The little assistant is wearing women's clothes and chatting merrily, looking nothing like the listless person who called in sick.
The young master laughs in anger, then turns to find his school-heartthrob cousin staring at the little assistant, eyes bloodshot.
The young master: ...
Well, well. Isn't this just wonderful?

After multiple showdowns, Yu Cheng, who's been working hard: (stunned) Wasn't I supposed to be a background extra?.jpg
