First of all, this is a very melodramatic story

Han Ke thinks Yuan Si likes someone else, and Yuan Si thinks Han Ke likes that person too.

The third person caught in their misunderstanding: "…Wait, guys, I'm straight. Why does your love story have to involve me?"

And so, the two people secretly in love with each other somehow end up making out at graduation, then lose touch for years, until they meet again as client and contractor

Han Ke: "How does this design look to you, client? Are you satisfied with this version? I can keep revising it if you're not." (exhausted) (forcing a smile) (wants to go home) (if he picks the original version in the end, I'll punch him twice) (I still seem to like him)

The person he likes: "Why do you like him! I'm the one who loves you most!" (hysterical) (clenches his fists angrily) (eyes red like in a TV drama)

Han Ke: "…Can you please take work seriously! Contractors have rights too!" (angrily flips the table) (almost drops his tablet) (remembers it has his future livelihood saved on it) (so he throws off his apron instead)

Later, Yuan Si takes the principle that if you're pursuing someone, you need to speak up, so they don't end up misunderstanding each other like they did years ago. He waits outside Han Ke's home

And steals a kiss while Han Ke isn't looking.

Han Ke: "…Is it possible that by 'speak up' they didn't mean you should open your mouth…"

Yuan Si: "Anyway, I like you! As long as you're willing to give me another chance to pursue you, I'll open my mouth however you want!"

Passing neighborhood auntie: "Oh my~" (points and whispers)

Han Ke: "You're... you're actually pretty devoted to love."

(covers the sore spot on his cheek)

From then on:

Han Ke's coworkers on Yuan Si: Cool guy, but being handsome doesn't help when he's so arrogant and demanding. Everyone who's worked with him as a contractor hates him.

Yuan Si's coworkers on Han Ke: So handsome and good-looking, so nice, and so full of ideas. Anyway, the moment he shows up, Yuan Si quiets down.
