Each round required enough people to participate, and failure to meet the quota would result in a penalty.

No one knew what kind of game it was or what the organizers wanted. But their technology was so far beyond Earth's that nobody dared risk finding out what the so-called penalty would be. Before the first round began, countries around the world sent a total of over ten thousand people to participate. Most were death-row inmates who agreed in hopes of having their sentences reduced, along with a small number of soldiers sent ahead to scout.

The result of the first battle: Earth's region suffered a crushing defeat.

Once the results were announced, earthquakes measuring 5 or higher suddenly struck all over the world, causing serious damage and confirming the organizers' claim that there would be a penalty.

The so-called game was actually a blood-soaked spectacle of violence and slaughter. Every round was broadcast live to the entire world, laying all its cruelty bare for everyone to see. But before long, people realized something was off.

Zero, an innocent bystander who just happened to be passing through, couldn't bear to watch and lent them a hand. To everyone's surprise, their god really did come back to life, and even latched onto him!

The Divine Spirit, smiling: "Why are you called Zero? Are you a zero? What kind of zero?"

Zero gave him a cool glance. "Stop smiling. Aren't you a zero too?"
