[Wrapping up now. My new novel is already underway! Check out "Picked Up by a Hong Kong Big Shot"]
Lan Xin is bound to a Qing-dynasty concubine System. Her main mission is to spend her whole life with one Aisin Gioro man, as his one and only.
But Lan Xin has never taken the System seriously. She eats, drinks, idles away her days in the mansion, and generally does nothing.
That is, until her brother goes crazy and invites a group of princes over to admire flowers and write poetry...
The System's eyes light up:
[Ding! The Sixth Prince is still a virgin. Automatically binding him as your target!]
Lan Xin grumbles to herself:
[The Sixth Prince? Didn't he die when he was a few years old?]
All the princes hear Lan Xin's thoughts at the same time and draw their forty-meter-long blades.
Then they hear the young lady grumble to herself again:
[Tsk, looks like this world has already gone off the rails. I hope what I know about the future still holds true.]
The princes hold back. She can see the future?
The young lady stares blankly for a moment, then continues thinking:
[Oh, so the Sixth Prince only survives because I have to complete the mission?]
[What if I just slack off and leave? Oh, then the Sixth Prince will drop dead...]
The princes look at the poor Sixth Prince with sympathy and put their blades away in their minds.
Kangxi summons Lan Xin in a fit of rage, ready to punish her, when...
[Emperor Kang looks so young.]
[No wonder he lived to almost seventy and ruled for more than sixty years!]
[No wonder he fathered over fifty children!]
[He's really virile for an old man!]
Kangxi: Say more. I want to hear it.
Crown Prince: I'm dead. Don't @ me.
The concubines: ???
Only the Sixth Prince says:
Big Sis, cuddle me!!!
As a prince, I never believed in love!
But she told me in her heart that she'd love me forever!!!
Lan Xin only wants to live like a lazy fish, but when threats don't work, the System tries bribery instead.
The hot pot, lamb chops, braised chicken, and coconut chicken in the System's shop are all grayed out, and they're driving Lan Xin wild with longing.
It's just a mission. Fine, I'll do it!
System: [Say at least 100 sentences to one of the princes.]
Before long, Lan Xin has spent the whole day arguing with the six-year-old Fourteenth Prince, who ends up crying his eyes out and calling for his mother.
System: [Endure humiliation and win the favor of the Sixth Prince's mother, Consort De.]
Before long, Lan Xin is eating hot pot and playing mahjong in the palace with the other consorts.
Consort De's favorability +1, Consort Yi's favorability +1...
The Fourteenth Prince's favorability -1, -1, -1...
The Sixth Prince desperately tries to get noticed: Mother...
Consort De: Good boy. This has nothing to do with you. Go play~
It's another day of the Sixth Prince desperately trying to get everyone's attention...
Later, Lan Xin somehow becomes everyone's beloved.
Eldest Prince: I was so wrong. Little Sister, love me again!
Kangxi: Nobody stop me. I'm giving Lan Xin a title!
Crown Prince: Little Sister, I want to talk to you today too.
Third Prince: Little Sister, lend me another book!
Fourth Prince: Only Little Sister understands how hard my life is.
Fifth Prince: I'll smash my head against a wall for my cousin.
Sixth Prince: Big Sis, cuddle me.
Seventh Prince: Big Sis, can my leg really be cured?
Eighth Prince: Is it wrong to want to be a better person?
Ninth Prince: Sis! My own sister!
Fourteenth: You're mean! Sob! Don't ignore me!
Seventeenth: I heard that Sister Lan Xin gave me the title Guo before I was even born?

Reader's Guide:
1. A fun story set in a parallel timeline. No historical research required.
2. The heroine is defiant and will not be a miserable Qing-dynasty transmigrator.
3. The love interest is the Sixth Prince, a prince with excellent morals.
4. The System has lots of delicious food, so expect plenty of food-related scenes.
5. The heroine has every golden finger in the book and happily lives like a lazy fish.
Here's a preorder for the next novel I'm planning to write in 2024. Check it out in my column:
A steamy one:
"Picked Up by a Hong Kong Big Shot (Nineties)"
In 1990, inside Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, a post-apocalyptic girl transmigrates into a book and meets a young man from the city.
"Hey, little girl."
"Do you know..."
"It's dangerous to go home with a strange man."
Post-apocalyptic big shot heroine x loyal puppy from the Hong Kong Walled City
Theme: Live happily and always stay sunny.
Hahahahaha, I guess so!
Why should I give life-saving things to others before I can protect myself!
For me, suffering from pain is a fatal thing!
If I don't love myself and others, I'm not that great.
Just use it for yourself
I want to see Lao Jiu use green tea to suppress Lao Ten in front of the whole family.
This one looks like a pedantic little book boy
Sure enough, hahahahaha
The prince is still your prince.
Ha
Seeing Concubine De calling Fourth Brother like this with tears in her eyes, she felt disgusted and frightened no matter how she looked at it.
Good guy, what a big scene
Why am I stuck here?
Update soon
Um, when will updates be resumed? Is it after the Chinese New Year?
Can Duan Ping be used to test the waters? Otherwise, it can be turned off in the future.
