The state of the merch scene today: You can't find the dream merch, and you can't snag a good deal. Resellers are everywhere, and the prices are unbearable.
After once again missing the scenic auction for merch of her favorite hot guy, Shimoto Ema angrily flipped her table and posted in her fandom circle: “If there were a way, I'd fire the first shot in cleaning up the merch scene.”
But that doesn't mean she's willing to go to another world to collect anime character illustrations and turn them into merch!
From the Merch God who appeared out of nowhere, Shimoto Ema learned that she could only go home by collecting all kinds of beautiful illustrations and gathering the faith of the merch collectors in another world.
“What if I don't?” she said defiantly.
The Merch God said nothing and projected an image of the merch she'd collected on her desk.
“No, ” Shimoto Ema, her lifeline in the Merch God's hands, hit the floor in despair.
And so...
A huge battle was underway when a dark object quietly poked out from a distant rooftop.
“See what it is. Make sure it's dealt with,” Gin said, wiping down his gun.
It's been a long time since someone this unafraid of death showed up.
“Boss, it's a...”
“A sniper rifle?” “No, it's a camera.”
Gin: ???
And so...
At the Spring High volleyball tournament, a fan with a camera slung over her shoulder appeared at random among the cheering fans for each team.
The commentators and spectators all wondered aloud:
Whose fan is that? Did she bring a sniper rifle to the Spring High tournament?!
“She must be one of our Fukurodani fans!”
“Maybe she's from our Itachiyama!”
Looking at the merch illustrations in her camera, whose art style put Season 4 to shame, Shimoto Ema wept with joy.
“Does it count if I'm a fan of Furudate-sensei?”
The volleyball crowd: ???
And so...
At a battle in Yokohama...
“What's your ability!”
The gravity manipulator gritted his teeth as he watched the strange woman in the distance, holding a flame that could not be extinguished.
Could this be another troublesome opponent?
Waving the fire in one hand and holding her camera in the other, Shimoto Ema smiled mysteriously.
“Tail fire is a substance. It doesn't disappear, it just passes from person to person.”
After Shimoto Ema finally returned to her own world, she spotted a portrait of herself at an anime convention. Fandom after fandom had crowned her the “Merch God.”
I'm just an ordinary merch collector! I'm really not the Merch God!
