Unequal Love [Insectoid]

Di accidentally rescued a female on a desolate planet. Her skin was exceptionally pale, her hair as dark as night, and her eyes more beautiful than the most expensive black gemstones.

She was so delicate and petite that all the hot-blooded males in the crew went crazy, wanting to take her home and have a brood of little bugs with her.

But his subordinates knew he had been unmarried for years, and secretly tried to set him up with the female.

In Di's eyes, he should have been the most eligible male around. He was the strongest and highest-ranking male on the ship.

Yet the female, so fragile he could kill her with one hand, turned everyone down, quietly left the ship, and opened a strange dessert shop.

After much deliberation, Di decided to look after her shop. The female left early and came home late every day, exhausted to the point that she could barely straighten her back, her pretty face covered in sweat.

He made another proposal: if she married him, she could live in District One and wouldn't have to work so hard. She could spend her days shopping, doing skincare, and enjoying all the things females liked.

But the female turned him down again.

Di grew angry and told her that if she didn't accept, in a few years the brain-computer would force her to match with someone and marry. Avoiding marriage would come at an extremely high price. Why choose a stranger when she could choose him?

The female gave him an expression he couldn't understand. Even though they stood together, she seemed very, very far away.

She said, "My name is Jian Xi. I'm not the female you're talking about."
