An object from outer space fell from the sky, bringing humanity a devastating catastrophe. Monsters ran rampant, and the living environment was severely damaged.
The surviving humans established safe zones. With resources in short supply, they were secretly divided into social classes.
Yu Xiang belonged to the middle class and joined the guard force protecting the safe zone.
Yet this seemingly ordinary man was not as simple as he appeared. His background was complicated, he deeply resented the unfair society, and he was also the leader of the rebel forces outside the safe zone.
By a "twist of fate," Yu Xiang became partners with Zhan 36 (Wang Jue), who had been altered by alien energy and gained special abilities.
Yu Xiang sensed that Zhan 36 was not as simple as he seemed either. He secretly used him to carry out his plans, only to gradually realize that he might be the one being used.
So he began probing into Zhan 36's secrets, never expecting to uncover something even more terrifying.
He was an anomaly, an anomaly that did not belong in this world.
The entire world was a lie. Perhaps everyone had been deceived.
The truth lay hidden in layers of fog, impossible to see clearly.
[The shou (Yu Xiang) has a crazy streak, while the gong (Zhan 36/Wang Jue) has a loyal-dog streak, but these are only parts of their personalities.]
Note:
1. The early chapters move at a slower pace because they introduce the setting.

3. Includes cyberpunk and Sentinel-Guide elements (adapted version).
4. This is not a supernatural story, but leans toward science fiction.
5. OE, open ending.
6. The story is entirely fictional and set in an imaginary world.
7. A little unconventional.
8. The main gong and main shou labels refer only to the narrative perspective.
Theme: Live in the present.
It's not about what Yu's character is like, or what he wants to do. He said he was just pretending in front of 36, so why did he kill 36 before he got the answer?
