The Little Evil Spirit Doesn't Want to Pretend to Be Human Anymore

[A fake aloof type who's great at talking himself into things, outwardly cold but warm inside x a sinister spirit with an eccentric way of thinking, emotionally oblivious and naturally goofy]

Li Wang was a pitiful evil spirit. He drifted all alone through the human world for so long without meeting a single ghost, and no living person could even sense him.

So lonely that he was, he drifted into a school, made himself a nest, and settled down. During the day, he followed humans around and wandered everywhere. Late at night, he floated back to his little nest to amuse himself.

But only belatedly did Li Wang realize that a human seemed to have his eye on him.

The very first time they met, the guy tried to flush him down the drain.

He even confiscated the half-brick Li Wang had brought for self-defense. After thinking it over for a moment, he asked, “Did you break it off the wall?”

Li Wang pointed at the brick wall in front of them and snapped, “It was already broken and lying on the ground!”

He would never do something as destructive as damaging public property!

“...”

In a very strange atmosphere, one human and one ghost crouched in the bathroom together, holding a small bucket of cement and patching the wall.

Ever since Jiang Jingshi accidentally encountered something supernatural, he felt like nothing was going right. He could run into ghosts after class, while eating, and even when he went to the bathroom. There was no escape.

Until one day, a new transfer student joined the class. The transfer student, Li Wang, stood at the front of the room and scratched his head in confusion. He looked dazed, as if he had no idea how he had suddenly turned into a living person.

Jiang Jingshi met Li Wang's gaze, his face expressionless.

But inside, alarm bells were ringing. “...”

This time, he really had encountered a ghost.

The evil spirit Li Wang started pretending to be human.

After pretending for a while, he poked the sleeping Jiang Jingshi with a finger and said dejectedly, “Pretending to be human is so tiring.”

“Mm-hmm.” Jiang Jingshi replied lazily without even opening his eyes.

“Pretending to be human is so tiring.” Li Wang mumbled again, poking him once more.

Jiang Jingshi, who had been lying on the desk, suddenly sat up straight, pulled Li Wang into his arms, and popped a piece of candy into his mouth. “Still tired?”

The little evil spirit was caught off guard by the sweet treat and froze like a block of wood. “O-oh, not anymore.”
