My Deskmate Seems to Be a Villain

[ABO, the uke is an Omega pretending to be an Alpha]

Ning Kong had a dream. In it, a terrifying man was drenched in blood, having killed countless people. All around him were pitiful souls sacrificed to his blade.

When yet another person breathed their last beneath his blade, the villain turned toward Ning Kong. A sinister, cold smile reflected on the blade as he swung it at him.

Then Ning Kong was woken by his teacher.

"Wake up. This is your new deskmate."

A new deskmate?

Ning Kong peered over with sleepy eyes. Well, would you look at that! The terrifying man had come right out of his dream!

And he was the teenage version!

Ning Kong: I get it! I must still be dreaming. (Rolls over and goes back to sleep.)

Yu Cong: ?... Hilarious.

At first, Ning Kong thought the dream had been a one-off, but soon he realized he kept having dreams about Yu Cong, and the future he saw for Yu Cong was shrouded in unmistakable gloom.

Ning Kong: What do I do? My deskmate seems to be a villain. (Keeps sleeping anxiously.)

Yu Cong: ?... Are you sick?

What do you do when your deskmate seems to be a villain?

Ning Kong: Eat, drink, and be merry. Better to die sooner than later, then just wait to get stabbed to death.

Yu Cong: Cough, cough! (Chokes on his water.)

Yu Cong nearly rushed over to shake him by the shoulders. Who on earth was spreading rumors that he was a bloodthirsty killer?

As the dream reached its ending, events took a different turn and old memories resurfaced.

Ning Kong realized his guess had been a little off.

Maybe the villain... was someone else?

Everyday life, a lighthearted comedy about unrequited love. The uke has a crush on the seme.

A slight ensemble feel, with friendship but no secondary couples.

[This blurb has been revised. The original version was about saving a tragic but powerful uke, but after I started writing, new inspiration struck and the outline changed beyond recognition. I still love the original version, so I'll start another book in my catalog and write it as a parallel world.]

Theme: Instead of deceiving yourself, face reality
