The Immortal Venerable’s Grass, the Demon Venerable’s Weed!

Qingya is a blade of grass growing on the wall that an Immortal Venerable keeps. It is best at reading the room and going wherever the wind blows.

The day it took human form, a gust of demonic wind accidentally carried it to the Demon Realm.

Faced with the cold, sinister gaze of a young demonic cultivator and the sword at its throat, Qingya didn't panic at all. It made the most of its nature as a wall-growing grass: it endured when it had to, and showered him with flattery whenever the moment called for it.

When the demonic cultivator was injured, Qingya wept pitifully. When he cultivated, Qingya cheered him on. When he killed people, Qingya applauded. It was the most loyal dog by the demonic cultivator's side! Ah, no, the most loyal blade of grass. Qingya acted with such sincerity that it had the young demonic cultivator wrapped around its little finger.

The young demonic cultivator was powerful and protected Qingya well. The little sprout lived a charmed life in the Demon Realm, getting whatever it wanted. The only miserable part was that even a blade of grass had to get grassed!

The young demonic cultivator's true form was a Netherworld Teng Snake, and that thing had two of them!

As if two weren't bad enough, he had no technique either! The hardest days of the little sprout's life were the ones spent in bed.

Later, the Immortal Venerable came looking for him. With a powerful backer at last, Qingya no longer had to placate the young demonic cultivator. It immediately became a firm, unyielding blade of grass.

Looking down at the young demonic cultivator, who had red-rimmed eyes and was clutching him desperately, begging him to stay, Qingya huffed.
