The Sword Sect's Discipline Elder has been having a rough time lately.
He's spent three thousand years working himself to the bone in the Sword Sect, a hellhole full of workaholics, and he's only two steps away from becoming the strongest person in the cultivation world. One step is his superior and fellow disciple, the Sword Sect's leader. The other is the leader of the Supreme Unity Immortal Sect next door, who never misses a chance to mess with him.
Now, here's the problem.
He's an undercover agent from the Demon Realm, but that's not important.
What matters is that his superior in the Demon Realm, the Demon Venerable, has hooked up with his superior in the cultivation world, the Sword Venerable. And the one who got spirited away was the Sword Venerable!
The Discipline Elder is forced to take over the Sword Sect.
Then he discovers, to his surprise, that the weird guy next door is the Demon Venerable's master, the previous Demon Emperor, who's come to the cultivation world to retire!
And now these two demonic cultivators have no choice but to shoulder the burden of the cultivation world after the Sword Venerable gets whisked away.
Ah, this world is so messed up.
Couple: An irreverent former Demon Emperor, now leader of an immortal sect, as the top x a very serious former Demon Realm big shot, now the Sword Sect's Discipline Elder, as the bottom
