A ridiculous, melodramatic chase-your-ex-to-the-crematorium story
Greedy but poor, extremely vengeful, a sickly bottom with an extraordinarily resilient, ahead-of-its-time mindset × a stone-faced CEO with a mouth harder than a clam shell
No one expected Xu Ran, who had “broke” stamped across his forehead, got a minor illness every five days and a major one every half month, and had nothing going for him but a pretty face, to end up dating Qin Huai Sheng, the lofty CEO born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
They dated for three years.
Xu Ran went from disbelief at the start to being so deeply in love that he couldn’t escape.
He thought that he and Qin Huai Sheng truly loved each other. For Qin Huai Sheng’s birthday, he spent half a year’s wages on a ring that cost only a fraction of the CEO’s watch.
He never imagined that Qin Huai Sheng would give him a big gift in return: a breakup agreement handed to him in front of everyone.
Everything Xu Ran wore was cheap, but his backbone was made of steel. He crossed out every offer of compensation and signed his name with a flourish at the bottom of the agreement.
Maybe the agreement came with a curse, because on his way home, Xu Ran got into a car accident and nearly lost half his life.
And Qin Huai Sheng was still the same coldhearted CEO. He never came to see Xu Ran, not even once.
On the day Xu Ran was discharged, a System suddenly appeared in his mind. The System said that if he completed missions, he could press a button that would make Qin Huai Sheng appear in front of him and randomly act out scenes from CEO romance novels.
Xu Ran: Hah. If there were a button that could make Qin Huai Sheng die of embarrassment, I’d press it until my fingers broke.
So when a rich young master who had a crush on Qin Huai Sheng came over to mock him, Xu Ran pressed the button.
The cover of The Young Master of the Domineering Bandit flashed.
The next second, Qin Huai Sheng “happened to be passing by” and stepped in front of Xu Ran. “What are you doing to my woman?”
Xu Ran: My toes are curling, but this feels great.
When Qin Huai Sheng’s mother came to threaten him and was about to throw coffee in his face, Xu Ran flashed a “wicked smile” and pressed the button.
The cover of The CEO Says He’ll Give Me His Life glowed brightly.
The next second, Qin Huai Sheng rushed into the coffee shop, stood in front of him with coffee all over his head, and said, “Xu Ran is the most precious thing in my life. If you want to touch him, you’ll have to ask my permission first.”
Xu Ran: Pfft, sorry, I was just born with a naturally smiling mouth.
When Qin Huai Sheng’s friends mocked him for being poor, Xu Ran pressed the button.
The cover of My CEO Boyfriend Gives Me Five Million Every Day opened.
The next second, Qin Huai Sheng ran across the venue, his feet practically flying, and handed Xu Ran an additional card. “This is my supplementary gold card. Spend whatever you like. I’ll take care of my man.”
After Qin Huai Sheng finished acting out the scene and regained control of his body, his veins bulged with fury. He was just about to grab Xu Ran and demand an explanation when his body moved against his will, pinning Xu Ran against the wall.
“Baby, I want to devour you.”
Well, this time it’s a Hong Kong-style CEO.
