Deep in the forest lay a lake as clear as a mirror. There lived a tiny, vivacious red fish, who leaped out of the water each day to bring joy to every friend who came to drink. Then one day, a swan with a broken wing brought terrible news from the distant ocean: a sleeping volcano was about to awaken, and the entire ocean world was in danger.
And so began an incredible expedition. With no wings or legs, the tiny fish set off on a journey of redemption across mountains and rivers, inspired by its parents' wisdom and aided by its forest companions. In the vast, unfamiliar ocean, it would meet the gravely wounded king of the sea and use a magical water banyan flower, a symbol of hope, to prove that even the smallest life can possess the power to change the world.
This is a gentle fable about self-acceptance, and an epic poem about courage and cooperation. It tells us that we needn't envy the skies of others: our own ocean is just as boundless.
