The Inn

There is an inn in the mortal world that connects the realms of the living and the dead.

All the ghosts who died unjustly or still have unfinished wishes come to stay here.

Some leave after a day, some may leave after a year, and some have forgotten how long they've been here.

Wan Niang has forgotten how long she's been staying at this inn.

Or perhaps the inn itself came into being because of her.

Her wish?

Wan Niang shakes her head. "It's been too long. I've forgotten."

Then someone arrives beneath the night sky, cloaked in starlight, and she seems to remember.

She is here because she cannot accept what happened.
