A Cannon Fodder, But in Love with the Male Lead

Yu Su woke up to the truth.

He discovered that he was a disposable side character in a romance novel.

The boyfriend who was now wholeheartedly devoted to him was the novel’s male lead.

Later, Yu Su would neglect the male lead and make a fuss over every little thing, constantly breaking his heart and giving the male lead’s destined partner a chance to take advantage of the situation.

In the end, he would be the ex-boyfriend kicked out with nothing but the clothes on his back.

“...”

Yu Su couldn’t accept that. Even if they were going to break up, he’d be the one kicking the man out.

He didn’t want to get saddled with a reputation as a scumbag!

Yu Su came up with a brilliant plan.

Since this world had already set the male lead up with his destined partner, they were bound to break up sooner or later.

So from now on, he’d treat the male lead well, outrageously well, and make sure everyone knew just how much he loved him.

Then, when the male lead fell for his destined partner, Yu Su would have the moral high ground and could criticize the two of them as much as he wanted, right?

Yan Weizhi noticed that his boyfriend had changed recently. He used to act a little bratty and throw tantrums, but now he was remarkably understanding. He didn’t cling to him anymore and was always pushing him away.

Yan Weizhi felt guilty, thinking that he’d been neglecting his boyfriend and made him change.

So Yan Weizhi started setting aside all his free time to spend with him.

As the days went by, Yu Su realized that there was still no sign of anything between Yan Weizhi and the male lead’s destined partner.

Not only that, Yan Weizhi was treating him better and better.

What was going on? Were they ever going to break up or not?

Would he ever get to stand on the moral high ground?
