Fujiwara Hane thought she was really lucky.
She got into the closed beta for a full-dive game, courtesy of a mysterious online friend who pulled strings for her.
But why could she only play a "lamp genie," spending every day pretending to be a ghost and spooking the game's NPCs?
Still, the beds in the game were really soft, and she could lounge around in them as much as she liked. She was quite happy with that.
The game even let you train your body! To save game currency, she personally taught the NPCs to throw kunai. When she returned to reality, she discovered she'd actually learned how to throw darts, and never missed.
Could things get any better?
Player Hane, requesting permission to deploy!
She started taking a hands-off approach to the NPCs she'd adopted. By the time she came to her senses, several of her adopted game NPCs had all died violent deaths.
There was no option to watch a 60-second ad to revive them.
Fujiwara Hane, now burdened by guilt, decided to adopt a new NPC and earn enough game currency with the new character to revive the ones she'd adopted earlier.
The new NPC was a hopeless brother-con. Fujiwara Hane was tired of coddling kids. After finishing her first playthrough and getting the Infinite Tsukuyomi bad ending, she said goodbye to the game.
But when she accidentally used ninjutsu to save a bomb-disposal officer in real life, the nature of the game changed in an instant.
...Wait, you're actually doing this for real, bro?!
Playthrough two, start!
P.S.
1. The heroine is a native of the Detective Conan world. The real world is Detective Conan, with some sports or slice-of-life anime mixed in, such as Kuroko's Basketball. The real world is basically a no-superpowers setting, except for the heroine.
2. The heroine is the most beautiful, and the characters fall for her without exception (even a little too easily).
3. Canon couples will be broken up, and from the start, so beware.
4. Feel free to suggest settings you'd like to see in the comments. The real-world setting must have no superpowers, but anything goes for the game worlds. If the author is interested, they'll watch the series.
