After transferring to a new high school, the socially anxious student is branded the school bully by his gossip-loving classmates because of his intimidating looks and the brief, icy introduction he gives on his first day.
The socially anxious student is panicking inside, but he's not good with words and doesn't know how to explain. He can only hope time will make the nickname fade. And, in fact, the busy life of high school soon draws his classmates' attention elsewhere.
Until the day he takes a shortcut home and stumbles upon a robbery.
The socially anxious student, the delinquent robbing his classmate, and the classmate being robbed all stare at one another. He's so flustered he doesn't know what to do with his hands.
Just then, a strange voice rings in his head.

The socially anxious student watches in horror as his body kicks the delinquent to the ground and shields his classmate.
"You dare rob someone in front of me? You're asking for trouble!" Aaaaaah, he's going to die! What kind of thing is that to say?!
"I'm sorry I'm late." Who even knows you? How could you be so late that you need to apologize?!

After getting the Overlord System, the socially anxious student's life is trapped in an endless cycle of public humiliation.
At the first monthly exam, the teacher calls the socially anxious student's name and score three or four times before he finally strolls up to the front. Confused, the teacher asks why. The student merely smiles. "Heh, teacher, I just wanted to hear my score a few more times." He shakes open the exam paper in his hand. "After all, getting 46 on this kind of test is the absolute worst I can do."
Someone else witnesses him sleep through an exam until the last five minutes, then suddenly wake up and finish the final, most difficult question.
The teacher is furious. "You can't even get the first three multiple-choice questions right. How did you get the hardest question right?!"
The socially anxious student glances disdainfully at the red Xs on the first three questions. "Questions like these aren't even worth getting right!"
When the real school bully leads a group to torment a classmate, the socially anxious student carries his uniform jacket in one hand and strides into the crowd as if no one else is there. "Do me a favor and let him go."
When they refuse, he sneers. "So you don't want to live!" Then he throws a heavy punch, landing squarely on the bully's nose.
And just like that, the socially anxious student really does become the school's bully.
His legend grows at a blistering pace. Some underclassmen even volunteer to join his ranks and make him their boss, but the socially anxious student only shakes his head. "Come back and talk about being my brother once you're in the top ten of the school."
Then he turns and leaves, with all the glory behind him.
Every time he comes to his senses, the socially anxious student is overcome with such intense fear that he suffers. Sometimes he even hides in a school bathroom stall and cries little golden tears.
After putting on another show of being cool one day, he hides in a stall to cry as usual. Suddenly, the door opens.
His classmate, whom he'd rescued from the delinquent not long ago, looks at him in surprise. The gentle smile on his face turns a little playful. "So our school bully likes to hide in the bathroom and cry?"

The class's top student and the school bully are in the same class, which makes all the teachers very worried.
But to their surprise, at some point the top student and the school bully become inseparable.
The school bully skips class, and the top student covers for him. The school bully gets assigned a disciplinary essay, and the top student writes it for him. The school bully does his homework, and the top student explains it. The school bully acts cool, and the top student plays along.
What they don't know is that at night, the top student gently kisses the tears of shame at the corners of the school bully's eyes and comforts him: "It's no big deal. Study hard, and you'll feel less guilty about acting cool during the day."
"With me here, it doesn't matter what you're like."
