[Stubborn older brother x gentle younger sister / bittersweet fluff / healing / heartwarming]

Fang Yizhao had lost count of how many times he'd found a thin piece of white fabric hanging from the bathroom rack. Frowning in annoyance, he paused for two seconds, grabbed it, and walked out of the bathroom.

He opened the spare bedroom door and tossed the fabric at the girl who was messaging her classmate about homework. "How many times have I told you not to hang your clothes in the bathroom after washing them?"

Ji Qingyue, who was typing, was startled by the impact. She looked down at what had landed in her arms, but the person in the doorway had already turned away. The slightly old wooden door rattled twice, and in the sweltering summer heat, a sticky, humid breeze drifted in.

When Ji Qingyue realized what she was holding, she paused, then called out, blushing slightly, "Couldn't you have pretended you didn't see it??"

-

Ji Qingyue had lived with her uncle since she was little. When she was six, he brought a boy home and said he was the son of a comrade who had passed away.

They grew up together.

She had no idea their family had suffered a tragedy.

She was always asking, "Why don't you tell me anything?"

It was a long time before he finally told her, "Before I fell in love with you, I was the person who had to stand in front of you, no matter what."

[Her brother had so many secrets. Only later did she realize they were all about me.]

*Grew up together | The leads have no legal or moral relationship
