Are You Deaf or What?

Nan Wangyou comes from a wealthy family. Tall and handsome, he carries himself with arrogant swagger. He’s unruly and capricious, radiating an unmistakable stay-away-from-me aura.

Even the King of Hell would take a detour to avoid him.

He seems ruthless on the surface, but he’s actually a model citizen who couldn’t bring himself to crush even a mosquito.

After his father thoroughly screwed him over, he inherited the hotel business and worked diligently to clean up the mess.

His father fled overseas and left him with a bodyguard as part of the hotel deal.

The moment they met, they were at each other’s throats, full of suspicion on one side, much to Nan Wangyou’s annoyance.

Nan Wangyou: Can’t you just get lost as far away as possible? Are you deaf?

Subordinate: [Slowly puts on a hearing aid] Say that again.

Nan Wangyou: …

The bodyguard takes all of Nan Wangyou’s provocations and demands in stride, and somehow finds a different kind of appeal in them.

He’s kind of cute.

His competitive streak is fierce, whether in love or in sports, and his indomitable spirit sparks a desire to conquer him. His looks and physique are to the bodyguard’s taste, too.

Gradually, the bodyguard is the first to fall for him.

Nan Wangyou: You deaf bastard, how dare you overstep your place? I might consider it if you’re the one on the bottom.

Bodyguard: Fine. Get on top.

Lately, Nan Wangyou keeps feeling someone’s scorching gaze on his back. It makes his skin crawl, but when he glares back, the gaze only grows hotter.

At last, he finds an excuse to kick the bodyguard out. It happens to be the hotel’s anniversary celebration, and Nan Wangyou is so happy that he has a few extra drinks.

As he grows woozy, the man raps his knuckles on the table. An amused voice comes from above him:

“This is an investigation. Please close the hotel and cooperate.”

Nan Wangyou: This bastard’s trying to pull rank on me now! Is there still time to buy a ticket and flee overseas…?
