This book has had a rough road. I first submitted it for a contract and was rejected, but I found so many lovely readers who, like me, enjoy wuxia! After I signed, I asked my editor, and it seems that since the story involves the original work's main plot, it might not be eligible for paid publication. But I'm still going to keep writing it.
Reading fanfic should be fun, after all!
A Fu is in charge of the Wuxia Division at the Space-Time Administration. She is sent to play a role in a wuxia world, where she must bear a frail-health debuff and stabilize the chaotic world by fleshing out her character and becoming its anchor.
A colleague from the romance division tells A Fu: "Easy. Go have a world-shaking romance with a few of the novel's main characters. Then you won't have to worry about your character being underdeveloped or Heaven forgetting your name."
A Fu: "That makes sense."
Colleague: "Exactly. In a novel, apart from the male lead, there's only the heroine..."
A Fu: "There's also the big boss!"
Colleague: "???"
A Fu, enthusiastically laboring away: "Come on, look at all these wuxia novels. How many famous heroines are there? Some heroines are less memorable than the female villains!"
Xi Men Fu, born frail: My elder brother is hopelessly obsessed with sword practice. As expected, Wanmei Manor and the Western Demon Cult will have to rely on me.
Hua Fufu, afflicted with a cold poison: The sect leader has been bewitched by a pretty boy, and Senior Sister is chasing after a scumbag and getting her heart broken. As expected, Huashan will have to rely on me.
Su Fu, the blind girl from the Golden Wind and Drizzle Tower: ...
Zhuge Fu of the Divine Constable Office, with a heart condition: ...
Content warnings:
1. Heterosexual romance direction, but no pairing in the main story.
2. The heroine has no heart. She's all about her career, so don't believe her sweet talk.
3. The heroine is unquestionably a BOSS, but in a few worlds her frail-health debuff prevents her from learning martial arts. Even so, she's a BOSS in another sense and is invincible.
4. The heroine won't be put through angst. It's already good enough if she doesn't make others suffer.
5. More warnings may be added as I think of them.
Theme: She is a heroine, but she's also a female BOSS.
