The Spoiled Cannon Fodder Tricked the Dragon-Proud Hero, Then Crashed and Burned

[Another 100,000 words to go, so updates will be slower]

Qiao Cheng, a transmigrator, grew up sheltered and indulged.

One day, the System told him he was a vicious cannon fodder character who had to scheme against the chosen one.

The good news: he had a fifty-fifty chance buff.

The bad news: the chosen one was at the Tribulation Transcendence stage.

The worse news: the chosen one was currently under his foot.

Whoosh! The pressure of a Tribulation Transcendence cultivator swept out, and Qiao Cheng’s father, who was only at the Foundation Establishment stage, promptly fainted.

Seeing this, Qiao Cheng smiled and lounged back in his rocking chair, tapping the edge of the stone table with his folding fan. “Shen Jiao Long Ting, make me some tea.”

“…”

Water poured with a splash.

A steaming cup of tea, enveloped in spiritual energy, floated over to Qiao Cheng.

He blew across the cup. “A wisp of your soul crossed time and space to get here. Is your Dao heart unstable, and have you come to kill me?” Qiao Cheng’s lips curled into a smile.

“Then I’m afraid your little scheme is doomed to fail. I, mmph…”

The teacup clattered to the ground, and something soft pressed against his lips.

Qiao Cheng was dumbfounded.

He hadn’t even tried to scheme against him yet, and the chosen one had already kissed him by force?!

Just then, the System chimed: [New mission: Teach the insolent chosen one, Shen Jiao Long Ting, a lesson. Reward: Foundation Establishment Pill]

Qiao Cheng, who hadn’t even begun cultivating: …Damn it!

How was he supposed to teach him a lesson? With his kissing skills?!

Bonus scene:

Ding! The System has detected that the chosen one has reached Foundation Establishment. New mission: [Team up with powerful Nascent Soul cultivators to set a trap for the chosen one, then betray them at the last moment]

Qiao Cheng had already seen too many cultivators get hacked into bloody mist by the chosen one. Cursing the damn System under his breath, he boldly stood up for him despite his low cultivation. “Don’t bully him!”

The chosen one pretended to be weak and hid behind Qiao Cheng, while secretly releasing the pressure of a Tribulation Transcendence cultivator.
