After falling into the water, Du Heng unexpectedly transmigrated
When she opened her eyes again, she thought the men and women around her were exceptionally good-looking. More than that, she was freezing. The bone-deep cold made her wonder if she'd transmigrated to the South Pole.
Once she figured out that her current body had accidentally fallen into a frigid pool and swallowed a piece of cold jade, leaving her life hanging by a thread, she finally understood who the people were that visited her every day and channeled their inner energy into her to ward off the cold.
Aunt Qiushui and her uncle, Senior Brother Su and Senior Brother Ding...
Then she looked at her mother, who bore a nine-tenths resemblance to Aunt Qiushui.
Well, would you look at that. She'd transmigrated into one of the great works by the renowned author Cha.
And her character wasn't even mentioned in the original book.
Was her life really going to end because she'd fallen into the water?
Once Du Heng came to her senses, she patted Senior Brother Zhao, who was reading The Wandering.
Neither of us has even appeared in the story. We're probably so minor we don't even qualify as background characters.
Oh, my handsome, dashing Senior Brother Zhao, stop giving me that grumpy kitten face all the time. It really wasn't your fault I fell into the water!
It was only after their family left Wuliang Mountain to return home, and reached Yujie Village outside Wujin County, Changzhou, that members of Senior Brother Zhao's family came to welcome them.
Du Heng looked at the plaque above the gate of the grand estate in the distance.
Zhan Residence
Wait!
Senior Brother, what was your surname?
Things to know before reading
1. The male lead is not based on any particular screen adaptation. He's more like a composite of the fourth-rank saber-bearing Imperial Guard from the original Three Heroes and Five Gallants and the various adaptations I've seen. The plot is a complete hodgepodge, too.
2. This is a romance. I know plenty of readers ship certain pairings, but in this story, there's only mutual admiration, friendship, and loyalty. Nothing else.
3. The author is sensitive, so please don't give me writing advice. If this isn't for you, just drop it without telling me. Thanks.
First draft of the blurb: Night of October 31, 2023
