I Heard the Divine Overseer Is a Swordsmith [Touken Ranbu]

This is a plot bunny about Shichiji, and I decided I still had to post it here. The author has started writing a sequel to The Legend of Izumo, so I may get face-slapped again, but I still have to write a bit, or I won't feel right about it. [Hey, the protagonist is Kenjo Shichiji, the protagonist of The Legend of Izumo. In his previous life, he was a swordsmith in ancient Japan, and he forged the Kusanagi Sword, also known as the Sword of the Gathering Clouds, one of Japan's Three Sacred Treasures. This story takes place after he personally killed his dear friend Anaki Futsuchi and ended the seal of evil, during the seven-year gap before Anaki is reincarnated as his nephew, Terumi. Anaki is so cool! [Hey, The Legend of Izumo is a fantastic book, one of my all-time favorites. It's an old manga, but I absolutely have to recommend it. This story includes a lot of headcanon. Everything follows the information currently available in the manga and games. If later releases contradict anything, I'm not responsible. [After getting face-slapped, I'll just play dead! The first few chapters will have more Izumo content, and after that it'll focus on the swords. I may weave in some other stories related to Japanese mythology, too. Come on in if you're interested. [Hides face] I guess lots of people won't know what's going on at the start, hahaha.
