[Wuxia Crossover/Xiye] One Sword into the Lonely City

At the highest heights, the cold is unbearable. There is only you.

I won't seek a Sword Immortal in the martial world.

Pairing: Ximen Chuixue and Ye Gucheng (both reborn as the City Lord and Manor Lord)

The sound of rain bells, the ringing of camel bells echoing across the distant horizon. Fine rain falls, like scars and bonds that cannot be severed.

Beneath a blue umbrella, a figure in white.

An immortal beyond the mortal world.

A sword, sharp as a blade. Though still sheathed, its power cannot be concealed.

So breathtaking it is hard to look at.

The sword, and the man.

Ye Gucheng's hands are icy, cold as a dead man's.

Ye Gucheng's face is pale, as white as a dead man's.

He should have been dead, yet now he lives.

Ximen Chuixue:

The higher you stand, the lonelier you become. The more you realize no one can match you, the more desolate you feel.

Without an opponent, you are as good as dead.

He needs an opponent.

He needs... Ye Gucheng.

That most brilliant sword-light did not take his life, yet it was as if it had pierced his heart.

The web woven from sword-light had already bound him fast.

The most beautiful, the most brilliant.

The most deadly.

Only when he realized this did he suddenly understand that his obsession had already taken root, and that his life had long since become entwined with the name Ye Gucheng, impossible to separate.

A lonely city stands amid ten thousand mountain peaks, like a white cloud in the sky, beyond reach.

The sword follows the heart, gathering a myriad intentions into one. It bursts forth like thunder, moves as the heart desires, and nothing can withstand its edge. A white rainbow pierces the sun, leaving no trace or shape, pure as a white cloud.

A few helpful notes:

Both leads are reborn. Happy ending. A crossover of martial arts stories.

Blurb is provisional.
