[Dream of the Red Chamber] I Am Lin Daiyu's Aunt

Lin Su transmigrated one day. Born into a family of scholars and officials, she married a successful candidate in the imperial examinations and had two sons and a daughter. At the age of twenty, she was widowed.

Fortunately, Heaven was kind to her. Her husband's ancestors had been merchants, and the family had a comfortable fortune.

With no parents-in-law to serve and her brothers-in-law having divided the family property, she could raise her three children and look after the vast family fortune. Living a life of comfortable leisure seemed quite nice.

Who could have guessed that one day, a letter would arrive from Yangzhou? Her older brother, whom she had never met and who had risen to the post of Salt Administration Commissioner, had died young. His daughter Lin Daiyu and her cousin Jia Lian were bringing his body back to their ancestral home in Gusu.

Lin Su: What?

Lin Daiyu? Jia Lian?

How did Dream of the Red Chamber end again?

Author's note:

The ending may differ quite a bit from Gao E's version. I haven't decided yet. There will probably be some OOC moments.

The golden finger in this story isn't very powerful. It's more like a game, where you set up a character to experience the world of Dream of the Red Chamber, then try to give Miss Lin a decent ending.

Theme: Be a warm, understanding aunt.
