The Ex I Treated Like Trash Becomes a Big Shot

Guan Mengzhou used to love Shen Yixun very much.

A lot of people didn't think they were right for each other, but he still loved Shen Yixun so much he couldn't help himself.

At their hardest, they once shared a ten-yuan bowl of beef noodles and lived together in a leaky house.

Guan Mengzhou thought, See? He loves me. Otherwise, why would he be willing to suffer alongside me?

But reality gave him a harsh slap in the face.

Shen Yixun had had enough of hardship. He'd had enough, and found it meaningless. He brushed the dust off himself and left with his entrepreneur parents, without even looking back at Guan Mengzhou.

Money is a wonderful thing, Guan Mengzhou thought.

So he worked hard to make money. Finally, one day, Shen Yixun stood before him, head bowed, waiting for him to relent and give him a chance at a job.

Guan Mengzhou thought he ought to laugh at him, but couldn't. He merely flicked the ash from his cigarette and told him nonchalantly:

"Be my lover, and I might be willing to keep you."

Shen Yixun's life had been full of ups and downs. He had tasted a life of extravagance and indulgence, and suffered the bitterness of falling into the gutter.

He had no regrets, except for feeling that he owed one person something.

Until one day, he met that person again.

Shen Yixun stood in front of Guan Mengzhou. They were worlds apart now.

He needed to stay here and beg for a job, so he could earn money to save his gravely ill mother.

Like a prisoner awaiting a verdict.

In the midst of his inner turmoil, he heard Guan Mengzhou's voice.

He could only answer the proposal with one word.

"Okay."

"For how long?"

"Until I get tired of you."
