Later, They Begged Me in Tears to Love Him

[Updates at 9 p.m.]

Shen Shubai transmigrates into a book as a universally hated cannon-fodder character. Everything he does is meant to prop up the main couple. All the supporting characters in the book are stunningly handsome men, each with his own unique charm. As someone who considers himself a top, he feels like he's wandered into a flock of sheep. He likes every single one of them.

The original Shen Shubai is a third-rate actor: vain, spoiled, and stupid. His mother married a rich man and brought him along, but he was never welcomed in high society. In a bid to fit in with the wealthy, he did a series of laughably idiotic things.

Jealous of the main character's love interest, he framed him. So desperately in love with the main character's love interest that he would die for him, he drugged him. When he was exposed, he tried to pass off a lipstick-induced cut on his wrist and a stolen depression diagnosis as proof of his suffering. Instead, someone revealed the truth, and he was publicly humiliated.

Shen Shubai transmigrates just after the fake suicide is exposed.

Shen Shubai: "..." He really couldn't have picked a worse time.

The powerful, influential, abstinent older brother: "In that case, leave the entertainment industry. Don't show your face around me again."

The refined, aloof superstar friend: "Heh. What face do you have left? You might as well just die."

The hot-tempered, ruthless director, his junior: "Your acting is worthy of a god! I never knew you were such a good liar!"

The lively, sharp-tongued main character's love interest sneers at him: "Your tricks are so cheap, just like you!"

The obsessive, cold-hearted main character: "I'll never like you. Give up already!"

Everyone looks at Shen Shubai with disgust and contempt, as if he's a pile of garbage that reeks to high heaven. Then they notice that Shen Yubai seems to have become a different person. He still has the same face, but now he's warm, courteous, and elegant.

Later, Shen Shubai realizes he hasn't wandered into a flock of sheep at all. He's in a den of wolves...

The powerful older brother grabs his wrist in a frenzy, eyes bloodshot as he demands, "You still like him?"

The refined, aloof superstar friend lowers his head. "Could you look at me? Just me?"

The hot-tempered, ruthless director pins him in the car and clings to him, crying in despair. "You seduced me! Why can't you love me?"

The lively, sharp-tongued main character's love interest gazes at him with tears in his eyes and starts taking off his clothes. "Why won't you be with me? I liked you first!"

The obsessive, cold-hearted main character corners him against the wall, his pent-up emotions spilling out. "Didn't you like me best? I've agreed to be with you now. Will you be with me?"
