Ten thousand years ago, the insect race ruled the world. Their behavior was so vile and corrupt that the entire world joined forces to fight them. The insects should never have lost, but their queen suddenly fell into a deep sleep, causing their ranks to split apart. From then on, the world's former overlords disappeared, nearly driven to extinction.
At this critical moment, the insect queen, who had slept for ten thousand years, suddenly emerged from her cocoon.
Mei Lili was just an ordinary little honeybee who gathered nectar. After one such trip, she fainted. When she woke up, she found herself inside a cocoon.
Confused, she emerged from the cocoon and appeared before her subordinates, who had rushed over after hearing the news.
Her clear eyes, transparent, fragile wings, and tiny, wet face covered in mucus, along with her alluring scent, awakened the ugly instincts that had lain dormant in the male insects.
Male insects are valiant warriors. Their wings are as sharp as steel blades, and their wills are tougher than city walls. Yet deep in their bones, they are born with the instinct to be marked.
When their glands detect the queen's scent, it triggers an overwhelming desire to be marked. They'd gladly give their lives for it. This is also what holds the insect race together.
Mei Lili knew nothing about this. She only thought this world was great: there was food and drink, and she could lie flat while others waited on her. That was until she lost control of her scent glands and began releasing her pheromones everywhere
The male insects, who had long since trained their bodies to the highest level and were always waiting to be marked, caught the sweet pheromones of invitation and rushed madly to surround their queen.
They gazed greedily yet with restraint at their queen, whose delicate face was flushed and damp from the torment of her overflowing scent, and spoke in husky voices:
"You've summoned so many insects. Can your body handle it?"
"I'm sure it can. After all, you're our queen."
What? What were they talking about? Tormented by their burning bodies until she could barely think straight, Mei Lili looked to her once most loyal subordinate for help, hoping for an answer.
"Don't resist. You'll enjoy it," her loyal subordinate rasped, kissing her fingertips.
Forced to endure this inhuman ordeal, Mei Lili didn't enjoy it one bit. From then on, she planned to escape. Unfortunately, she didn't get far before the male insects brought her back to the nest. She thought they would torment her again, but instead they knelt straight down, groveling and pleading, and said that they were already carrying her eggs.
Mei Lili: ...Huh?
A story about a bunch of subordinates trying to climb to the top (not really).
A super indulgent, super fun Mary Sue story, with tons of original worldbuilding.
Theme: Only after experiencing darkness can you understand the value of light
