The Evolution of a Beta Beauty

Wen Tian is a poor beta. After failing the college entrance exams, she has no choice but to stay in her hometown for university, turning her relationship with her boyfriend into a long-distance online romance.

During an ordinary video call, her boyfriend's wealthy alpha roommates catch a glimpse of her face and hear her voice. From then on, the wheels of fate begin to turn.

Liang Jingshi isn't sure if it's just his imagination, but ever since he and his girlfriend started a long-distance relationship in college, she seems less interested in talking to him. She still speaks to him as sweetly as ever during their video calls, but he can't stop feeling insecure.

To test his theory, he brings it up himself, only to be dumped without warning.

To ease his pain, he deliberately drinks himself into a stupor. Half asleep and half awake, he vaguely hears his usually quiet and cold alpha roommate say in a hoarse, gentle voice:

"He's drunk. Don't worry, I'll take care of him."

"Mm. I'm glad you obediently broke up with him."

Wen Tian has always known what she wants. To her, men are nothing but stepping-stones to climb higher.
